SYSTEMS FOR PRE- AND POST-TREATMENT
For some printing requirements, a pre-treatment of the surfaces, especially for some plastics, or a treatment after printing is necessary. ESC is delivering the corresponding appropriate equipment.
// ESC-Flame Treatment System
Whenever pad printing requires pre- or post-treatment the F012 flame treatment is the ideal solution. Suitable for all ESC-COMEC pad printing machines this treatment obtains a better ink adherence on all plastic surfaces such as PE-PP etc.
//Corona Pre-Treatment
Pretreatment to optimize the application and adhesion of printing inks on plastic surfaces (e.g. PE and PP)
- two grounded electrodes, attached to the front and back of the surface, break up the surface of the printed material through the current discharge. The part’s surface becomes porous so that the ink can be better absorbed
- system components: generator, high-voltage converter, discharge station
- high-frequency treatment thanks to semiconductor technology
- can be installed at all ESC-COMEC machines
//Plasma Treatment
A variant with a similar effect to corona pretreatment is plasma treatment. The principle of operation is based on electrical discharge.
- by an air flow, the energy is directed onto the surface of the material and breaks it up so that the ink can be better absorbed
- no grounding system necessary
- 1 freely radiating electrode
- can be used manually as well as automatically
